An argument between two men in Carson City escalated Tuesday when one reportedly chased the other with a knife through a neighbor's house.

Gregory Martin, 23, of Cold Springs was arrested for suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, misdemeanor battery and traffic offenses for allegedly chasing another man into a woman's trailer at 6:55 p.m. on Kit Sierra Loop. The victim reportedly ran inside to escape Martin.

According to a witness account, Martin then grabbed a knife off the kitchen counter and attempted to trap the victim inside. When the victim was able to escape, Martin reportedly jammed the knife into the door, breaking off the blade.

While the victim and Martin were being questioned by deputies, Martin ran about 20 feet and knocked the victim over, the report indicates.

Martin's bail was set at $20,000.
