Meeting management course offered

Meeting Management will be offered from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Dec. 3 by the University of Nevada, Reno in the Midby-Byron Center.

The course will teach students how to run small meetings using the interactive method and large meetings with parliamentary rules of order. Students will discover the tools and techniques to effective meetings including the use of agendas, minutes and action items.

Instructor is Nancy Held, director of the family education center.

Topics include leading and facilitating meetings, use of visuals, presentation techniques, ways to achieve goals in meetings and how to overcome obstacles to have successful meetings.
