Some second half sharpshooting propelled the University of Nevada women's basketball team to a come-from-behind 65-58 victory at San Jose State on Friday afternoon.
Nevada rallied from a 32-20 halftime deficit to win the season opener for both sides. The Wolf Pack shot 5-for-10 from 3-point range and 12-for-14 from the free throw line in the second half.
Meanwhile, freshman post Kate Smith scored a game-high 21 points and Katie Golcomb added 14 to lead Nevada. Jessica Larsen also scored 11 points with the aid of 3-for-4 shooting from 3-point range.
San Jose State shot 7-for-26 from the field in the second half.
