The Carson Nugget is celebrating its 42nd year of offering free Christmas dinners to needy local residents.
The holiday dinner, complete with roast turkey or baked ham and all the traditional trimmings, will be served to families with small children and those who would not otherwise be able to afford a Christmas dinner.
The dinner, which will be served in the Carson Nugget Coffee Shop, will be available from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Christmas Day. To accept the offer, guests simply sign the check and hand it to the cashier with the comment, "I'm a guest of the Nugget today."
"We sincerely care about the families in our community, and we don't want to see anyone go without Christmas dinner," said a Carson Nugget spokesperson.
