Obituary: Atlanta A. Reynolds

A funeral for Atlanta A. Reynolds, 93, a Carson City and Gardnerville resident for the past eight years, will be at 11 a.m. today at FitzHenry's Funeral Home in Gardnerville.

Mrs. Reynolds died June 16 in Carson City. She was born March 21, 1907, in Cape Girardeau, Mo., to Cecil E. and Julia H. Braddock Brown.

Before moving to Gardnerville, she lived in Garland, Texas.

Mrs. Reynolds was a Baptist. At 87, she debuted with The Ann Robinson Dance Studio at Lake Tahoe. She was a total friend to the community. She enjoyed life and went hot air ballooning for her 90th birthday in Palm Springs, Calif. At age 91, she and 17 family members went on a cruise to Mexico.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Russ Joe in 1985 in Garland.

Among her survivors are her son, Charley Jack Pate of Celeste, Texas; daughters, Audrey A. Byers of Carson City and Joann Colella of Livermore, Calif.; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Interment will be at Eastside Memorial Park.
