Obituary: Connie Allen Garey

Connie Allen Garey, 80, of Carson City died Thursday at Carson-Tahoe Hospital.

She was born Sept. 26, 1919, in Forrest, N.M., to John A. and Edna Mae Woodard Caton.

Mrs. Garey lived in Carson City since 1995, moving here from San Diego, Calif., where she had lived for 40 years. She was a homemaker and an avid reader.

Mrs. Garey was preceded in death by husband Loren P. Garey in 1995 and by brother John Caton.

Survivors include daughters Carroll Barr of Minden and Maridee Davidson of Yorba Linda, Calif., five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Humphrey's Chapel in Chula Vista, Calif., with burial at La Vista Memorial Park in National City, Calif. Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
