Obituary: Della P. Roderick

A funeral for Della P. Roderick, 79, a Carson City resident for the past three years, will be at noon Thursday at the Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home in Hayward, Calif.

Visitation will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Chapel of the Chimes.

Mrs. Roderick died April 9, 2000, at her home. She was born Nov. 30, 1920, in Gustine, Calif., to Joseph and Patricia Sears Calderia.

Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Hayward, Calif., for 39 years.

Mrs. Roderick was a homemaker. She enjoyed taking walks, working puzzles, artwork and coloring. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was a good listener. She was a member of the Catholic church.

She was preceded in death by her husand, Augustine Roderick in December 1987.

Among her survivors are her sons, Leroy and wife Debbie of Hayward, Calif. and David of Mark Twain; daughters, Lynda Ghisleni and husband Samuel of Reno and Patti Peterson and husband John of Livermore, Calif., Bonnie Null of Carson City and Lou Nunes of Hayward; sister, Tillie Woods of San Leandro, Calif. and four grandchildren.

Burial will be at Chapel of the Chimes.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Northern Area office, 712 Mill St., Reno 89502.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley and Chapel of the Chimes are in charge of arrangements.
