Obituary: George Leo McCue

A Mass of the Resurrection for George Leo McCue, 68, a Gardnerville resident for the past seven years, will be 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Gall Catholic Church with Father Bill Nadeau as celebrant.

Mr. McCue died Feb. 4, 2000, in Gardnerville. He was born Jan. 12, 1932, in Boston, Mass., to George L. and Jane Mary Crawford McCue.

Before moving to Gardnerville, he lived in Redondo Beach, Calif.

Mr. McCue was a production control specialist with Hughes Aircraft Co. in El Segundo, Calif., for 30 years. He was a member of St. Gall Catholic Church. He served in the U.S. Air Force for four years during the Korean conflict.

He was preceded in death by his wife and son, Daniel, both in 1990 in Whittier, Calif.

Among his survivors are his son and wife, Terrence L. and Colleen McCue of Gardnerville; brother Fred Mahoney of Boston; sister Doris Banks of Camarillo, Calif.; and grandchildren Kelly and Kevin McCue, both of Gardnerville.

Burial will be at Eastside Memorial Park in Minden following the Mass.

FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home, Gardnerville, is in charge of arrangements.
