Obituary: Harry V. Beck

Harry V. Beck, 81, a Carson City resident for the past two years, died Nov. 19, 1999, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital.

Mr. Beck was born Nov. 8, 1918, in North Carolina, to Fletcher and Winefred C. Claudefelter Beck.

Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Tucson, Ariz. for 40 years.

Mr. Beck was a colonel in the U.S. Army, in which he served for 20 years. He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church of Tucson.

Among his survivors are his wife, Betty H., of Las Vegas; daughter, Suzanne Beck-Declerk, of Carson City; son, Jeffrey L. Beck, of Las Vegas and two grandchildren.

Services will be in Tucson at a later date.

Reno Memorial Cremation & Burial Society is in charge of arrangements.
