Obituary: Lowell Randall Jones

A memorial service for Lowell Randall Jones, 74, a Carson City resident, will be at 7 p.m. today at the Clubhouse at Quail Run.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.

A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Temple of Memories Cherokee Memorial Park in Lodi, Calif.

Mr. Jones died Jan. 22, 2000, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. He was born Jan. 14, 1926, in Sparks Hill, Ill., to Jan. 14, 1926, to Harry and Lessie Moore Jones.

He lived most of his life in Stockton, Calif.

Mr. Jones worked for the state of California for 28 years. He was a member of the American Legion of Stockton, the Masonic Lodge of Linden, Calif., for 35 years and a member of the First Baptist Church of Stockton.

He was preceded in death by his son, Randy.

Among his survivors are his wife of 52 years, Violet, of Washoe Valley; daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Chuck Douthit; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley, Crematory and Cemetery, is in charge of arrangements.
