Luise Reichel, 94, a Gardnerville resident for the past three years, died Feb. 18, 2000, at Riverview Manor in Gardnerville. She was born May 12, 1905, in Lubeck, Germany, to Wilhelm and Ida Milatz Ehmcke.
Before moving to Gardnerville, she lived in Oakland, Calif.
Mrs. Reichel was a homemaker and she loved nature and enjoyed going out for coffee and donuts. She was proud to be in the 90 Plus Club of Douglas County and she was a Lutheran.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bruno in 1983 in California and her sister Henny Loding in 1995.
Among her survivors are her nephew and niece, Bob and Linda Loding of Zephyr Cove.
Private services will be held.
Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.
FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home, Gardnerville, is in charge of arrangements.
