Obituary: Manuel Nava

A visitation for Manuel Duarte Nava, a Carson resident for the past six years, will be from 5 to 6 p.m. Monday at the Corpus Christi Church in Carson City. Mass of Christian burial will be directly after the visitation.

Duarte died Feb. 3, 2000, from injuries suffered as a passenger in a sanitation truck accident. He worked for Capital Sanitation for six years.

He was a member of Corpus Christi Church and enjoyed playing the guitar.

He is survived by wife Liduvina and son Eduardo, both of Carson City; parents Antonio and Maria Duarte of Mexico; five brothers and five sisters.

Funeral arrangements will be made by FitzHenry's Funeral Home in Carson City. Burial will be held at Cemeterio Municipal in Calera Zacatecas, Mexico.
