Obituary: Orval Williams

Inurnment for Orval C. 'Bill' Williams, 89, a Carson City for 21 years, will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Walton's Carson Gardens Cemetery. Visitation is today from 5 to 7 p.m. at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.

Mr. Williams died January 14, 2000 at Carson-Tahoe Hospital.

He was born in Oklahoma on Sept. 13, 1910, to Thomas and Lettie Carver Williams.

He and his wife, Sylvia, moved to Carson City South Lake Tahoe. He was a chef.

Mr. Williams was preceded in death by brothers Marion, Brian and Jesse Williams; sisters Alma Vesta and Lettie May, and one great-grandchild.

Survivors include wife Sylvia, of Carson City; sons Stan Williams, of Carson City, and Orval E. Williams, of Greeley, Colo.; sister Batricae Wewalt, of Bakersfield, Calif.; six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
