Obituary: Raymond Oliver Conner

Raymond Oliver Conner, 75, a 37-year resident of Carson City, died at his home on March 31.

Born Jan. 1, 1925 to John D. and Nina Pierce Conner, he was a SeaBee during World War II.

Mr. Conner moved to Carson City in 1963 from South Lake Tahoe. He was a miner and worked as a Carson City building inspector from 1971 to 1976.

He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Carson City and Hawaii.

Mr. Conner is preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Wesley and Edward; and one sister, Thelma Miller.

He is survived by his wife, Frances Sparks-Conner of Carson City; a son, Rocky of Carson City; a daughter, Cathy Burton of Gardnerville; a sister, Joyce Boyce of Fallon and four grandchildren.

No services are planned. Cremation will be at the Mountain View Crematory in Reno.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley in Carson City is in charge of arrangements.
