Obituary: Robert Bonner

Robert S. Bonner, 84, a Minden resident for the past year, died Oct. 20, 1999, at Sierra Convalescent Center in Carson City. No services will are scheduled.

Mr. Bonner was born March 1, 1915, in Canton, Ohio, to Charles and Christine Davis Bonner. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, John, and his wife of 29 years, Virginia B. Bonner, in 1998.

Prior to living in Minden, he resided in Carson City for 29 years. He was office manager for a packing supply company in Carson City for many years.

Mr. Bonner was a member of Carson Sertoma for 30 years. He was "Boss of the Year" in Carson City in the late 1970s, and was "Volunteer of the Year" in Carson City for his work at the Carson City Senior Citizens Center.

He loved being with his wife, working with Sertoma and working with the Carson City Senior Citizens Center.

Among his survivors are his daughter, Nancy Grunwald of Minden, and two grandchildren.

Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory in Carson City.

Inurnment will be at Lone Mountain Cemetery in Carson City.

FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home in Gardnerville is in charge of arrangements.
