Obituary: Rosetta Belle Maas

Rosetta Belle Maas, 94, a Carson City resident for the past 10 years, died Dec. 4, 1999, at Carson Convalescent Hospital. She was born Nov. 23, 1905, in Pueblo, Colo., to Edward Leroy and Mary Elizabeth Wooden Stevens.

Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Reno for 43 years.

Mrs. Maas was a homemaker. She was active in her church and was president of the Altar Guild and a volunteer for the church thrift shop. She was a member of the Twentieth Century Club of Reno, a past president of the American Veterinarian Medical Association Auxiliary and a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Reno.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Edward E. Maas.

Among her survivors are her daughter, Stephanie McKinnon, of Zephyr Cove; grandson, Hugh McKinnon, of Agat, Guam; and granddaughter, Heather McKinnon, of Bradenton Beach, Fla.

A private service is scheduled.

Cremation is at Sierra Crematory.

O'Brien-Rogers & Crosby Funeral Home, Reno, is in charge of arrangements.
