Obituary: Thelma Prettyman

Thelma Thrasher Prettyman, 93, a Carson City resident for the past six years, died Feb. 3, 2000, at her residence. She was born Oct. 5, 1906, in Graham, Mo., to Tillison Rone and Effie M. Zancker Thrasher.

Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Los Angeles.

Mrs. Prettyman was financial director for the Vista Towers Retirement Home in Los Angeles. Prior to that, she retired from McDonnell Douglass Aircraft of Santa Monica, Calif. She was a member of P.E.O. Chapter N and she liked to travel.

Among her survivors are her son Thomas R. of Carson City; granddaughters Susan Lynne O'Brien of Coeur D'Alene, Idaho, Janet Patrice Miller of Huber Heights, Ohio, and Linda Ann Woodward of Ogden, Utah; four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

A private family memorial service will be held.

Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.

FitzHenry's Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
