Mrs. James died Oct. 19, 1999, at her residence. She was born Sept. 18, 1918, in Radcliffe, Iowa, to Olai and Ordina Wang Olson.

Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Sunnyvale, Calif., for 20 years.

She graduated from Radcliffe High School in Radcliffe, Iowa.

Mrs. James was a retired factory machine operator working at Bowsers Inc. in Sunnyvale for 18 years. She enjoyed working with crafts. She was very interested in her family's genealogy and spent 20 years researching this genealogy.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed, and brother, De Florin Olson.

Among her survivors are her sisters, La Vonne A. Reyes, of Carson City, Romaine J. Hanson, of Spirit Lake, Iowa, Wanda R. Rose, of Sunnyvale, Calif., and Del Rina K. Spindler, of Radcliffe; and brother, Leo W. Olson of Radcliffe.

Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley, Crematory and Cemetery, is in charge of arrangements.
