Obituary: Virginia M. VeCasey

Virginia M. VeCasey, 79, a Carson City resident for the past 17 years, died Dec. 20, 1999, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital.

No services will be held.

Mrs. VeCasey was born Feb. 3, 1920, in Lansing, Mich., to Ray Hershey and Florence Walter Hershey. She was preceded in death by brothers Art and Lyle Hershey.

Prior to living in Carson City, she resided in Lansing.

Mrs. VeCasey was a retired office manager for the State Police in Lansing. She was a member of the Michigan Ontario Identification Association. She enjoyed traveling and nature.

Among her survivors are her husband, Joseph A. VeCasey of Carson City; sons, Don VeCasey of St. Johns, Mich., Darryl VeCasey of Carson City and Doug VeCasey of Reno; daughter, Jolynn Wilbert of Albuquerque, N.M., 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Cremation was under the direction of FitzHenry's Crematory.

FitzHenry's Funeral Home in Carson City is in charge of arrangements.
