The Foundation for Osteoporosis Research and Education is sponsoring bone density testing from 10 a.m.-3:45 p.m. today at 3240 Highway 50 East.

This is a non-invasive scan of the forearm which takes just seven minutes, is painless and extremely safe (just 1/50th the radiation of a chest X-ray).

No appointment is necessary; however, technicians do the testing on a first come first serve basis. Due to increased media attention, the tests are popular and on occasion a few customers have been turned away.

For information, call FORE at (510) 832-2663.
