WASHINGTON - Sens. Harry Reid and Richard Bryan, both D-Nev., say Washoe County will receive nearly $1.6 million to fund local Head Start programs.

"This money will provide 3- and 4- year-old children with a better education now and a better chance of success later," said Reid.

"These resources will now help Washoe County's Head Start program provide better services to even more families," said Bryan.

The money will help more than 400 children of low-income families with early education and development programs as well as health services.
