A cross country ski trek from Kit Carson Pass to Luther Pass is being offered on Sunday. The trek will be led by park rangers with the California State Park System.
Kit Carson Pass is located on California S.R. 88, about 42 miles south of Carson City.
The trek will begin at 10 a.m. at the parking lot area, just west of Kit Carson Pass Summit.
Participants are requested to provide their own cross country ski equipment, wear layered clothing for variable weather conditions and bring a lunch and drinks.
