Through a combination of Internet and cable television technology, skiers in the San Francisco Bay-area can now get timely reports of conditions at Tahoe-area resorts.
Bay-area cable channel BayTV is carrying the ski reports pulled live from the Resort Sports Network Web site, www.rsn.com, along with live images from regional resorts through the RSN Resort Cam network in hourly reports 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
"RSN.com TV is indicative of how technology is changing the way consumers get their information and how resorts sell products and services," RSN president Roy Strunk said.
RSN.com claims to be the No.1 ski information Web site for 1999 as rated by Mediametrix.
