Temple Bat Yam to install new officers

Temple Bat Yam in South Lake Tahoe will install new officers and directors at Sabbath services at 7:30 p.m. Friday Jan. 21.

Al Goldberg and Wayne Omel, both of Stateline, were re-elected to second terms as president and vice president respectively. Bob Mueller of Zephyr Cove was re-elected to a third term as treasurer; Charna Silver of Zephyr Cove was newly elected secretary.

Eleven new board members were also elected, including four officers. They are: Judy Greenspan and Larry Rosendorf, both of Carson City; Lorraine Sklar and Illana Rugg, both of Zephyr Cove; Ellen Goldberg and Steve des Jardins, both of Stateline, and Alexis Wagner of South Lake Tahoe. Beckie Wagner, president of the youth group, was re-elected as non-voting youth representative to the board.

The officers and board will be installed by student Rabbi Robert Haas at 7:30 p.m. Friday evening during Sabbath services.
