Carson Physical Therapy owners broke ground Monday on a new building.

The business has been in Carson City since 1977 and outgrew its space of 1,200 square feet on Mountain Street near the Carson-Tahoe Hospital. The new building, located off of College Parkway, will be 7,200 square feet and will have a 40-square-foot therapy pool, 1,000-square-foot gymnasium and six treatment rooms.

The move will help the facility offer better service to its patients, owner Georgieanna Barrett said. The facility will cost around $850,000 and will be completed in March 2000.
