Topaz casino's restaurant to add buffets

TOPAZ LAKE - Buffets are being added to the menu of the Golden Eagle Grill, the 66-seat restaurant at Ed's Topaz Nugget.

The evening buffets, starting March 1, will run from 5-9 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays starting March 1. A champagne brunch buffet is planned for 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Sundays as well.

The Golden Eagle Grill is part of the expansion of the Nugget being completed by owner Tom Bower. A hotel addition is set to open in March.

The restaurant, open 5-9 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and Sunday and 5-10 p.m. Friday and Sunday features slow-roasted prime rib on its evening menu, which will continue to be available when buffets are offered. All desserts are made by the Golden Eagle Grill's staff.

Weeknight buffets will be themed, offering Mexican, Italian or barbecue nights, for $9.95 a person. Sunday night's theme will be announced.
