Two Carson City residents were arrested early Monday on suspicion of possession and trafficking of methamphetamine, following an anonymous tip to narcotics investigators.

Lt. Steve Albertsen of the Tri-Net Narcotics Task Force said a caller last week reported a suspicion that drugs were being dealt from a home in the Clear Creek Trailer Park.

Tri-Net agents went to the home at 1:50 a.m., spoke to the people there, and received permission to search it, Albertsen said Tuesday. In the bedroom, agents found about 10 grams of methamphetamine, a scale used to weigh drugs and a .357 magnum handgun located near the drugs, Albertsen said.

Patricia Ann Rios-Burgara, 37, was arrested at the home following the search, Albertsen said. A short time later, Jesus Rios-Burgara arrived and also was arrested, since the contraband was found in the bedroom shared by the couple, he said.

Each suspect was arrested for investigation of felony trafficking in methamphetamine, felony possession of a controlled substance for sale and felony possession of methamphetamine. They were held on $20,000 bail each.

Albertsen said Jesus Rios-Burgara is in this country illegally, so Immigration and Naturalization Service officials were notified.

Another person visiting the home was on probation and was taken into custody by a Division of Parole and Probation officer, Albertsen said.
