A two-vehicle accident resulted in one woman being hurt when her maroon sport utility vehicle overturned after being hit by a white sedan at the intersection of Roop Street and Winnie Lane about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The white Grand Am turned north onto Roop Street from Winnie Lane in front of the utility vehicle, which was southbound on Roop Street. Evidence at the scene indicated the sport utility vehicle swerved to avoid the Grand Am and rolled over, landing on its side in the northbound lane.
The woman driving the sport utility vehicle received multiple lacerations on her arms and back and was taken by ambulance to Carson-Tahoe Hospital.
