The Carson City Recreation Department and the Silver State Volleyball Club are hosting an adult volleyball clinic today from 1-4 p.m. at the Carson City Community Center. Cost is $20 and will benefit the Silver State Juniors program.
In its first year, the Silver State Juniors are a non-profit club providing junior players with nationally recognized coaching and an opportunity to play volleyball against the best players in the country while exposing players to collegiate coaches. The coaches of the team are Scott Akimoto, who played professionally in Italy, and Steve George, former assistant at UCSB.
