WNCC offers calligraphy and framing classes

The Community Services Division of Western Nevada Community College is offering a variety of craft courses this spring.

Calligraphy, A to Z, teaches students of all ages the art of beautiful handwriting. This class, taught by local artist Carol Anderson, meets Tuesdays, Jan. 19 through Feb. 23, 7-8:30 p.m. in the Cedar Building of WNCC, Room 307. The cost is $75.

Learn to frame all of your art work in Custom Matting and Framing. Students will learn how to compliment their artwork with the proper mat and frame. Class meets Tuesdays, Feb. 1 and 8, 7-9:30 p.m. at Eagle Valley Frames and Art Gallery, 4555 South Carson St. The cost is $35.

Learn how to safely and creatively preserve your photos and memorabilia in Family Photos - Creating A Legacy. Students will be taught how to create scrapbook photo albums that celebrate life and family. Creating gift and special occasion albums will also be covered. Class meets Saturday, Feb. 26, 9-11 a.m., in the Cedar Building, room 109. The cost is $20.
