Chuck Glick of Vacaville, Calif., held tight for 50 laps, then made his move on the rest of the pack, beating out Reno's Craig Paulsen and South Tahoe's Jeff Tillman to win the Desert Rose 100 on Saturday at the Champion Speedway.

With the first-place finish, Glock took home $1,000.

Carson City's Brian Colodny finished in eighth place in what was the third running of the Desert Rose 100.

In the Trophy Dash, former champ Rich Lawlor beat out Tillman, C.J. Bawden.

In the Sportsman division, pre-med student Davey Sciarrone, of Reno, completed his come-from-behind win by edging out multiple-winner Al Goss. And in Hobby Stock, Raphael Gomez.

In the Feature event, Sparks' D.J. Krentz, who started last, edged Tahoe's Jim Klopp by less than an inch. Mike Morrissey took third, Jovan Halen fourth, and Reno's Bob Cose finished fifth on that event.
