A blown fuse is being blamed for a power outage that affected approximately 250 customers in East Carson City on Wednesday.

Karl Walquist, spokesman for Sierra Pacific Power, said the fuse failed from unknown causes at 6:15 p.m., with power restored by 7:10 p.m.

Customers affected by the outage were mostly residential.

The homes are located on Sharon Way, Airport Road, and Woodside, Stanton, Siskiyou, Florentine and Monte Rosa drives.
