A Carson City woman was listed in serious but stable condition at Washoe Medical Center after flipping her car Sunday three miles from the top of Spooner Summit.
"It was the scariest thing," said witness Bethany Perez-Morris. Perez-Morris said she was heading home to Stateline in the westbound lanes, when she saw the unidentified driver heading eastbound.
"She like, looked up, saw that she was too close to the barrier and swerved," Perez-Morris said. The woman's car careened across both lanes before slamming into a concrete barrier on the right of the lane. Perez-Morris said the victim was ejected and landed on the roadside next to her car.The victim was transported by CareFlight helicopter.
The accident is under investigation by the Nevada Highway Patrol.
