Robert Edward O'Farrell

A rosary for Robert Edward O'Farrell, a Carson City resident for 26 years, will be at St. Teresa of Avila Church at 9:30 a.m. Monday. A memorial mass will follow at 10 a.m.

Mr. O'Farrell died Sept. 13, 2001 at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. He was born Dec. 13, 1919, in Hollister, Calif. to Edward Charles O'Farrell and Loretta Chapman O'Farrell.

Mr. O'Farrell was active in the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Knights of Columbus, and the Lions Club. He also served as head usher at St Teresa of Avila Church.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Mabel Hunter O'Farrell and a brother, Charles O'Farrell. Among his survivors are his daughters, Barbara Rennes of Anaheim, Calif., Mary Esquer of Sacramento, Calif. and Beverly Vasquez of San Diego, Calif., five grand children and eight great-grandchildren.

Donations may be made in his honor to the American Red Cross to aid the victims of the New York City terrorist attack.

Walton's Sierra Crematory and Walton's Chapel of the Valley are in charge of the arrangements.
