A funeral for Donald Joseph Hamilton, 80, a Carson City resident for the past year, will be at 4:30 p.m. today at Fitzhenry's Chapel of Faith.

Mr. Hamilton died Sept. 23, 2001, in Carson City. He was born Oct. 28, 1920, in Astoria, Long Island, N.Y., to James Thomas and Willemina J. Lockner Hamilton.

Before moving to Carson City he lived in Reno for five years coming from Atlanta, Ga., where he lived for 33 years.

Mr. Hamilton was a member of the Lions Club and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a Catholic.

He served in the Army Air Corps for five years.

Among his survivors are his sons Jim of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Tom of Glendale, Calif.; daughters Kim Neiman and husband Nelson of Carson City and Jan McFeely of Dallas, Ga., and grandchildren Joseph and Daniel Neiman and Skyler and Amanda McFeely.

Burial will be at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Fernley.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Nevada Diabetes Association for Children and Adults, 1005 Terminal Way, Reno 89502.

FitzHenry's Funeral home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
