The Reno-Tahoe International Airport parking garage will reopen at noon today for limited long-term use on the second and third floors.

The structure has been closed since the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks after the Federal Aviation Administration ordered the closure of parking structures within 300 feet of terminals.

Airport spokesman Adam Mayberry said the Reno airport has demonstrated to the FAA that increased security measures are in place.

Nearly 1,000 of 1,600 parking spaces will be available for long-term parking.

Short-term parking will reopen Friday at noon for about 200 spaces. No vehicles exceeding 7 feet and 7 inches will be allowed to enter short-term parking.
