The Douglas High baseball team split in its first two games at the Atwater/Winton Lions Tournament in California.

Douglas routed Livingston 11-2 and fell to Atwater 3-1. The Tigers had had their bats working in their tournament opener against Livingston.

Douglas' Austin Graham erased a 2-0 Wolves' lead with a three-run homer off Livingston starter Ramon Avila in the fourth inning. It was one of two homers for Graham, who finished with three hits and four RBIs.

Tigers starter Collen Murran struck out 12 and walked five in 6 1/3 innings of work to pick up the victory.

Against Atwater, Douglas was shut down by Ryan Morehouse, who pitched a three-hitter. The Tigers scored a run on the second on James Bunting's RBI double. An otherwise solid Darren Murren allowed two runs in the third for Douglas.
