Lamae E. Taylor, 67, a Carson City resident for 34 years, died Jan. 7, 2002, at home. She was born Nov. 11, 1934, in Bismarck, N.D., to Daniel and Ida Lawler.

As a child, she moved to Richmond, Calif., with her parents.

After her marriage, she traveled extensively with her husband, who was in the military.

Mrs. Taylor worked as a ward clerk at Carson-Tahoe Hospital, retiring after many years of service.

Among her survivors are her sons John Russell Monroe III of Carson City and Russell Monroe; daughters Caren Monroe Roberts and Carol Lynn Stanley, both of Carson City, and her special companion Victor Lee of Carson City.

At her request, no service will be held.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
