Bernice E. Halsey, 94, a Carson City resident for the past 20 years, died July 2, 2002, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. She was born Feb. 9, 1908, in Central City, Neb., to Samuel E. and Birde H. Persons Gilmore.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Bishop, Calif.
Mrs. Halsey was an accountant for the U.S. government.
She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
Among her survivors are her son Bruce of Carson City; brother Eddie Gilmore of Vermont; sister Helen Gilmore of Redding, Calif.; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
At her request, there will be no service.
Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
