Jason Alcasas made sure the Carson 15-year-old all-stars got off to a strong start in defense of their state Babe Ruth title.
Alcasas pitched a no-hitter for Carson in its 2-0 win over Fallon on Friday at South Tahoe. Alcasas struck out 13 and walked two.
Jessie Rasner was 3-for-4 and Wes Osmer went 2-for-4. Carson took a 2-0 lead when Osmer singled, stole second and scored on Rasner's double.
Carson will play the winner between South Reno and Reno West, who play today, at 4 p.m. Sunday. Jake Rasner will start on the mound for Carson.
