Kyle Mandoki and his quest to see another pitch to hit was postponed after a violent thunderstorm forced the cancellation of Saturday's games at the District I Little League Tournament at Governors Field.

The decision by tournament officials came just after 5 p.m., about an hour after the storm, filled with heavy rain and lightning, delayed the start of the 4:30 p.m. games.

Saturday's games will be played today at the regularly scheduled time, meaning Carson National and Mandoki, who's hit two homers and been intentionally walked five times in seven at-bats, will play Washoe in the winners bracket of the 11-12 year old division at 4:30 p.m. Reno National will play Reno Continental in the losers bracket at 4:30 p.m.

In the 9-10 year old division, Carson Valley will play Reno America-East tonight at 7 in the losers bracket and Washoe will play South Tahoe at the same time in the winners bracket.

The tournament, which was scheduled to end Tuesday, will now end Wednesday with game times listed in the program staying the same, except each days' games are now being pushed back a day due to the canceled games.
