Abbott Lawrence Tofft, 81, of Carson City and a Carson Valley-area resident for the past 13 years, died Nov. 4, 2002, in Carson City. He was born Oct. 3, 1921, in Aromas, Calif., to Lawrence and Hazel Gay Tofft.
Mr. Tofft enjoyed woodworking. He was a Protestant.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha.
Among his survivors are: brother-in-law and wife Ron and Mimi Toft of Carson City; daughter Gretchen Elliott of Mound House; and sister Marian Downing of San Louis Obispo, Calif.
A private service was held.
Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
