The following men were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in court:


-- Merle Edward Helton, 73, retired from Carson City, was arrested at 3:46 p.m. Tuesday in the 2100 block of Highway 50 East for suspicion of felony grand larceny. His bail was set at $25,000.


-- Carl Edward Jahr, 69, unemployed from Carson City, was arrested at 10:50 a.m. Tuesday in the 3400 block of North Carson Street for suspicion of felony burglary by shoplifting. His bail was set at $2,500.


-- John Logan Christopher, 22, of Carson City, was arrested at 3:05 a.m. Tuesday in the 1400 block of Rand Street for suspicion of the following felonies: false identification to avoid prosecution, trafficking methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine for sale, possession of paraphernalia for sale, possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, possession of methamphetamine and maintaining a drug house. He also was charged with the following misdemeanors: possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and gross misdemeanor carrying a concealed weapon.


Also arrested was Shaun Nicholas Day, 20, unemployed from Carson City, for misdemeanor possession of a methamphetamine pipe, possession of a scale, obstructing and gross misdemeanor destroying evidence. He also was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine.


Christopher's bail was set at $40,000. Day's bail was set at $5,000.
