A memorial Mass for Diane Nagel, 61, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Yerington with the Rev. Paul McCollum officiating.
Ms. Nagel died Oct. 10, 2002, at the Washoe Medical Center. She was born June 11, 1941, in Yerington to Henry and Helen Spezzi Nagel.
She graduated from Yerington High School and attended the police academy in San Jose, Calif., barber school in Oregon and obtained her nursing degree from West Nevada Community College.
Ms. Nagel worked in several areas. She was an avid gun enthusiast, enjoyed the outdoors and was known for her vegetable gardens.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Among her survivors are her brother and sister-in-law Robert and Shirley Nagel; nephews Kenny Nagel and Mark Madewell; niece Jennifer McCollum; aunt Anna Frade and friend Eunice Sjolin.
Inurnment will be at the family plot in Valley View Cemetery.
Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
