Obituary: Vida Miller

Vida Wilslef Miller, 73, of Gilroy, Calif., died Sept. 14, 2002 at Stanford Hospital in Palo Alto, Calif. She was born March 31, 1929 in Gardnerville to William and Alvina Wilslef.

A former resident of Gardnerville, Mrs. Miller attended Douglas County Schools and worked at the former Golden Bubble as a waitress. She was a clerk at the Gardnerville Food Store.

Mrs. Miller later moved to Reno where she was employed at the Liberty Bell. She married Lynn Miller in 1983 and later moved to Gilroy, where they managed Stor-All's.

She was preceded in death by parents William and Alvina Wilslef and brother William Jr.

Surviving are sisters Ardelle Ford, Edna Hellwinkel and Yvonne Thran of Yerington and Phyllis Ashurst of Gardnerville.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Garden Cemetery in Gardnerville.

Donations in Mrs. Miller's honor may be made to the Carson Valley Historical Society, 1477 Highway 395, Gardnerville, NV 89410.

Habing Family Funeral Home in Gilroy is in charge of arrangements.
