Obituary: Jeanette N. Furr

Memorial service for 16-year Carson City resident Jeanette N. Furr will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at FitzHenry's Chapel of Faith.

Mrs. Furr died April 4, 2003. She was born Aug. 17, 1919, in Collin County, Texas, to Walter and Fannie Hinsley Norris. She was 83.

She married Everett Furr on Oct. 8, 1943, in Los Angeles. Prior to Carson City, she lived in West Covina, Calif.

Mrs. Furr enjoyed knitting, sewing, cards and entertaining. She was a Baptist.

She was preceded in death by her son Dean in 1959; and brother Homer Norris.

Among her survivors are her husband of Carson city; sons Craig and Rex of Dayton; brother Marvin Norris of Ferris, Texas; sister, Pauline Isbell of Prosper, Texas; and granddaughter, Taylor of Dayton.

Visitation will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday at FitzHenry's.

Cremation is under direction of FitzHenry's Crematory.

FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
