Remaining classes for hunter education

Successful completion of a hunter education class is required by the State of Nevada for anyone born after Dec. 31, 1959 who intends to purchase a Nevada hunting license.


Anyone interested in applying for 2003 Nevada big game hunting tags, who still needs to take hunter education, should carefully note the following information:


Hunter education will be offered at the following locations if there are still vacancies in those classes:


Carson City: April 19 (8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.) Call 882-9904.


Fallon: April 19 (8 a.m. - 4: 30 p.m.) Call (775) 423-3171.


Reno: April 15-16 (5:30 p.m. - 9 p.m.) Call NDOW at 688-1559.


Reno: April 19 (8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.) Call NDOW at 688-1559. Note: Bring a lunch.


Reno: April 20 (8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.) Call NDOW at 688-1559. Note: Bring a lunch.


Winnemucca: April 19 (8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.) Call (775) 623-6565.


All students must pre-register, obtain course materials and complete a workbook prior to attending the class.
