Susan S. Paulsen, former longtime resident of Gardnerville, died April 11, 2003, in Spokane, Wash. She moved to Spokane in 1994.
Mrs. Paulsen was a member of the Garland Avenue Alliance Church.
Among her survivors are her husband of 10 years Richard W.; sons Trevor J. Steenbakkers of Feasterville, Pa, and Jon-Paul A. Steenbakkers of South Hamilton, Mass.; daughter Anneke M. Brown of Spokane; granddaughter Abigail Steenbakkers; mother Helen C. Morris of Yreka, Calif.; brothers Glynn Morris of Arnold, Calif., and Robert Morris of Dunsmuir, Calif., and sister Pame Breza of Ocala, Fla.
A graveside service was held at Lone Mountain Cemetery.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
