MINDEN -- Hearings were postponed Monday for two Stateline casino employees accused of taking $400,000 from Harveys Resort Casino.

Arraignments for Jason Lawrence, 27, of Carson City and Stephen Johnson, 21, of Dayton have been rescheduled for Oct. 13.

A district court clerk said the hearings were postponed due to requests by the men's attorneys because negotations are pending.

Lawrence, a pit boss, reportedly provided chips to Johnson, according to information filed by the district attorney's office. Lawrence issued the chips under an assumed name, according to the report.

Johnson allegedly kept the chips, which were then split by the men.

Lawrence was charged with burglary, forgery and conspiracy. He bailed from jail on $130,000.

Johnson, charged with burglary, theft and conspiracy, bailed out on $125,000.
