Mabel A. "Toodie" Robertson, 92, a Carson City resident for the past 24 years, died Dec. 14, 2003, at Mountain View Care Center. She was born March 6, 1911, in Murdo, S.D., to Jacob Gideon and Mary Warner Farris.
She married Alvin J. Robertson on Sept. 17, 1928, in Draper, S.D. He preceded her in death in March 1986 in Carson City.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Rapid City, S.D.
Mrs. Robertson was a homemaker. She was active in the Carson City Senior Center.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters Verda Haus and Fran Sorenson and brothers Fred and Charles Farris.
Among her survivors are her son, Charles Robertson of Williamsport, Ind.; daughters Gwen J. Candee of Carson City, Lou Ann Bays of Rapid City, Linda Johnson of Highmore, S.D., Joyce Nielson of Pierre, S.D., and Penny Robin of Kempner, Texas; sister, Alice Farris of Pierre; 26 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
At her request, no service will be held. Inurnment will be next to her husband in Rapid City.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
